Fees Structure

There are two types of fees to be paid by a student.

1. Institution Fee. These are mandatory fees to be paid to The Institution of Engineers (India).

This includes,

  • Section A Registration Fee

    • Since the AMIE course is conducted by IEI, all students who wish to study AMIE must enroll with IEI Kolkata. For enrollment there is a fixed fee.

  • Examination Fee

    • Examination fee is to be paid by student. AMIE exam fee is to be paid only if you appear for examination. Examinations are conducted in every June and December. For appearing in examination a student has to submit separate application form for examination and the exam fee need to be paid along with the examination form.

    Examination fee in India is Rs2000/-. If you choose an exam center abroad, exam fee is different.

    To make a rough estimate, a Diploma holder who completes AMIE in 4 exam chances will have to pay a minimum of 2000x4= Rs 8000/- as exam fee. As for a plus two holder this becomes Rs 12000/-.

* Exam fee is a fixed fee for each exam season (Winter/Summer). A student can appear a maximum of 4 subjects in one exam season.
